{"coordinates":{"latitude":40.474536,"longitude":-79.952524},"_id":"6ad8f6a0bed15adc09de4831","jobCode":"JOB-24309","__v":0,"address":"Pittsburgh, PA","assignmentType":"Full-time","department":"UPMC Presbyterian","displayTitle":"Explore our Academic Autopsy Pathology position at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA","jobSummary":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The Division of Anatomic Pathology of UPMC, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) is recruiting for a Pathologist in the Autopsy Pathology Center of Excellence (COE). The position will be in the appointment stream academic clinical track. The candidate needs to have academic interest in Autopsy Pathology. </span><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;\">RANK/TITLE: </strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Assistant Professor (1-5 years of experience) or Associate Professor (6-10 years of experience) (tenure/nontenure). </span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"> </span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;\">KEY HIGHLIGHTS:</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time dedicated to Autopsy Pathology and approximately 50% of time on some other subspecialty in Anatomic Pathology, based on their training and interest.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The Autopsy Pathology Center of Excellence (COE) consists of a full-time director of Autopsy Pathology. We are recruiting for a second person to join the Autopsy pathology service. This COE processes over 350 Hospital medical autopsy cases per year and serves as a local and regional consultation center for Autopsy Pathology. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">This position is based at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside Hospitals. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The Dept. of Pathology at UPMC has a well-established Molecular, Digital and Computational Pathology infrastructure and resources. There is ongoing investment in Digital Pathology and AI applications in Pathology. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Candidates would have extensive resources for translational pathology utilizing the shared resources of our Imaging and Digital Pathology Laboratories, Molecular Anatomic Pathology and FISH laboratories. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Individuals would be provided with guaranteed protected time. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The successful candidate will be expected to participate in and provide leadership and guidance to develop and leverage best practices, diagnostic and research initiatives using available resources.</span></li></ul><p><strong style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">JOB DUTIES:</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Work closely with the </span><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Autopsy Pathology </span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">COE Director related to service roles and participation in the functioning of </span><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Autopsy </span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Pathology service and operations. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Participate in various COE specific meetings. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Represent the Dept. nationally and internationally.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Mentor and teach Pathology residents. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; color: black;\">Sign out of autopsy pathology cases,</span><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"> as needed.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;
